1.   Why is the new Preferred Commercial Account Card a MasterCard?

Benjamin Moore is continually looking for opportunities to improve benefits of our Preferred Commercial Account Program. The program operates on the MasterCard platform giving account holders a total business solution.

2.  Who is GreenSky Financial?

GreenSky Financial is the MasterCard® credit card issuer for the new Benjamin Moore Preferred Commercial Account Program. GreenSky Financial is a commercial financing company specializing in the business-to-business sector.

3.  Can the card be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted?

Yes! The Preferred Commercial Account card can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted. This new account is a total business solution.

4.   What's new about this program?
  • The new Preferred Commercial Account card can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted!
  • The new Preferred Commercial Account offers lower interest rates for approved accounts
  • Applications can be submitted via phone, fax or online
  • Higher credit lines available for approved accounts
5.  How do I accumulate Rewards Points?

Rewards Points will be accrued for all purchases made at a Benjamin Moore Retailer as well as everywhere MasterCard is accepted.

6.  How are credit limits typically determined?

Credit limits will be based on business buying history, trade references, and personal financial history.

7.  What happens if GreenSky doesn't approve my application?

GreenSky will make make every effort to approve applications based on personal and business credit history and trade references.  In the event of a rejected application, the applicant will have the opportunity to provide additional financial information which will be reviewed by GreenSky.

If an Account Holder doesn't pay within 2 months, can he/she carry the balance forward?

Yes, this is a revolving account. The Account Holders can carry the balance forward as long as the Account Holder makes the minimum payment each month. Applicable interest rate will be added to the remaining balance.

9.  Can I add additional card holders to my account ?

Yes, the account holder can request extra cards for each user and set credit limits by user. If the employee leaves the company, the owner would simply need to contact GreenSky to have that card de-activated.

10.  What happens if an account holder has a balance on the previous Preferred Commercial Account Program?

The balance on the old card will not be transferred to MasterCard. It is the responsibility of the account holder to pay his/her outstanding balance to HSBC. 

11.  Will the account holder receive a new account number?

Yes, account holders will receive a new card with a new account number by January 1, 2008.

12.  Are the accrued rewards points going to transfer?

Yes, all accrued rewards points will roll-over to the new card. The rewards balance will be reflected on the contractor’s first statement.

13.  What happens if a contractor tries to use the old card after January 3rd?

Contractors cannot use the old card after January 3rd. If you do not receive the new card, please contact GreenSky Customer Service toll-free at 1-866-659-1515.

15.   How can I contact GreenSky® about my credit card application?

GreenSky offers small business credit card specialists to assist you throughout the application process. If at any point you have questions about an application that has already been submitted, please call GreenSky Customer Service: 1-866-659-1515

16.   How quickly can I get my credit card?

You should expect your card in as few as ten (10) business days once we receive all of the necessary information.

17.   What will my APR be?
Your specific rate will be based on your personal and business credit history, as well as your business financial performance.
18.   How can I get my credit limit increased?
To request a credit limit increase, please call our Customer Relations department at 1-866-659-1515.
19.   How do I pay my bill?

20.   What do I do if my credit card is lost or stolen?
To prevent any fraudulent activity, please call 1-866-659-1515. If possible, please have your 16-digit credit card number, the circumstances of the loss or theft, such as date and location, the last authorized charges to your account.
21.   How soon will my payment be posted to my account?
Payments will be posted to your account on the day your payment is received.  Payments received before 3PM EST will be posted on the same day.  Payments received after 3PM EST  will be posted to your account on the following business day.  To allow for the clearance of funds, your limit will be adjusted two business days following the posting of your payment.
22.  There are charges on my account that I didn't make. What should I do?

Call GreenSky Customer Service immediately at 1-866-659-1515. We will help you identify these transactions and, if necessary, prevent any fraudulent activities.

23.   Is there a fee for extra cards for employees?

You can request additional cards for your employees at no cost.

24.   How often will I receive statements?
You will receive an itemized statement each month. Payments on new purchases are not due for 60 days. You will also receive a free year-end summary of itemized purchases.
25.   Can I get credit as a new business startup?

Yes, with a good personal credit score, a copy of the business license and your last year's tax records, we will approve you.

26.  What do I do if my credit report is wrong ?

If you find discrepancies related to your GreenSky account on your credit report, call our Customer Relations department at
1-866-659-1515. We will help you investigate and resolve the matter.

27.   Is there an annual fee?
No. Compare that to other business rewards cards and the year-to-year savings are significant.
28.   Are Account Holders limited to purchasing certiain products?

No, they can buy anything in the store just as they would with an in-house account program.
